Shirley Krueger is an experienced human resources professional having worked in a variety of industries including temporary staffing, construction, real estate, and non-profit.  Ms. Krueger is currently the HR Manager at Orison Holdings, LLC. 

She joined North Texas SHRM Chapter in 2017 and began serving on the board in 2018 as VP of Professional Development – Annual Conference, then as President-Elect in 2020.  She was presented with the NTSHRM 2019 Pyramid Award in recognition of her outstanding service to the NTSHRM Society.  She is a graduate of Leadership Denton, past president of Denton Youth Basketball, past Cub Scout Leader, and past volunteer with Communities In School.   

Shirley has lived in the north Texas area all her life.  She graduated from Columbia Southern University with a BS of Business Administration in Human Resource Management.  She holds SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, and PHR certifications.

Dwayne Clarke

Dwayne Clarke has been in Human Resources for over 15 years specializing in employee well-being and employee engagement. He joined North Texas SHRM in 2016 starting as a brand ambassador and being actively involved in the chapter. He has also worked on the 2019 and 2020 conference planning committee. He is the current chair for the 2021 conference. He is SHRM Certified Professional and currently pursuing a master’s degree in Human Resource Development. He wants to continue helping our chapter grow because HR professionals need continued support and development in our ever changing and evolving profession.
North Texas SHRM is a great resource to accomplish that goal. His desire is to be of service to whoever he can, with the gifts he is given.

Pam Barnes has served as CFO for HSNT for over 26 years and has played a major role in facilitating the growth and development of the organization. Ms. Barnes graduated from Texas Woman’s University with a BS of Business Administration in Accounting in 1993. Ms. Barnes joined NTSHRM in 2008 when she was responsible for HR functions at HSNT and joined the board the next year as VP of Finance in which capacity she has continued to serve the organization with enthusiasm. Her volunteerism also includes membership in the Denton Noon Kiwanis club, City of Denton Human Services Advisory Committee, Leadership Denton, past board member of the Tejas Storytelling Association and camp volunteer for the Girl Scouts, Cross Timbers Council.

Regina Wright is the HR Director/Employee Relations for Denton ISD and has been employed with the District for 26 years. Regina is a member of (NCTASPA)the North Central Texas Association of School Personnel Administrator’s where she has served in the roles of Vice President, President, and currently Secretary. She is also a member of TASPA (Texas Association of Personnel Administrators) and AASPA (American Association of Personnel Administrators, serving on various committees. Regina has been a member of NTSHRM since 2007 and has served in the roles of VP membership, President Elect, President, and now serving as VP of membership. She has a passion for serving and enjoys people.

Jeriana Staton, Director of Human Resources for the City of Sanger. She has been in Human Resources now for 10 years in both private and public sector. Jeriana has held many roles from a Trainer to Director and many in-between. Her passion has always been to help others and be a resource in the workplace as well as the HR community. She has had the honor of serving on the NTSHRM board for two years now alongside serving on the Dallas HR board. She looks forward to hopefully continuing to serve the greater Denton County area as a HR support, with NTSHRM.

John Hagan

Attorney


John P. Hagan is an HR attorney who practices nationwide employment law from his office in Allen, Texas and is Board Certified in Texas Labor and Employment Law. He is ranked by his peers to be in the top 5% of all lawyers in Texas and is an award-winning author for the College of the State Bar. Mr. Hagan has written on many employment law issues, including damages, discrimination, and wrongful termination. Mr. Hagan has co-authored the Employment Law Handbook - Texas (Texas Association of Business and Chambers of Commerce) and Texas Employment Law for James Publishing.


Mr. Hagan and his firm represent a wide range of companies of all sizes and in all industries. His specialty is counseling companies using best practices and preventative HR resulting in less litigation.  Mr. Hagan has been named consistently as a Texas Super Lawyer (©Thomson Reuters) from 2010 – 2021.

Rhonda Lukie is currently the HR Manager for Rockall Energy in Dallas.  Rockall is a privately held oil and gas company and my current role is HR, payroll, and benefits department of one.  I have been in HR for more than 20 years with 13 of that in the oil and gas industry, even moving to Midland for a short time.  I specialize in employee relations and management training programs on topics such as harassment, legal hiring, proper performance reviews and counseling employees.

She has previously served on the North Texas and Permian Basin SHRM boards as well as Lake Dallas FFA Booster Club and was a Girl Scout Cookie Mom in Lake Dallas.

Rhonda earned her Bachelors in Personnel Management from UNT in Denton.

Shay Scarborough has worked in Human Resources for around ten years and really enjoys employee engagement, compensation, and special projects. Her background includes industries such as aerospace, automotive, and manufacturing. Shay joined the North Texas SHRM Chapter in 2017. She began serving on the board in 2021 and manages the Chapter’s social media networks. She volunteers with her local church, iMentor, and the University of North Texas.

Shay grew up in the central Texas area before relocating to DFW for college. She holds her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies and Master’s Degree in Strategic Communication.  She holds a PMP certification.

Beth McKellar is the VP - Director of Corporate Operations for the Denkmann family of businesses, which consists of multiple privately owned family entities with assets in oil and gas, undeveloped land, timber, and commercial real estate in Texas, Mississippi, and Louisiana.  I have been with Denkmann for 20 years, 18 of which have included HR functions, and have facilitated the growth of the company from 5 – 26 employees.  

I am a member of SHRM and the North Texas SHRM Chapter, and I hold the SHRM-SCP certification. I have previously served on the board of all levels of Argyle PTA and Denton Area PTA. 

I have a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Sciences from the University of Georgia.

Megan Garner has over 18 years of experience in Human Resources, primarily in manufacturing and telecommunications.  Megan is currently an HR Manager at Safran Electrical and Power.  She first joined North Texas SHRM in 2012 and served on the board from 2013 to 2018 as VP of Programs, then President Elect and President.  Megan has been involved with Safran’s annual giving campaign for United Way of Denton County since 2015 and served as a United Way Loaned Executive in 2020.  Seeing the need of our local community inspired her to continue her involvement with United Way, and she looks forward to finding new ways to create positive impact in our community with NTXSHRM. 


Megan came to Denton to complete her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of North Texas and spent several years in the arts before moving into Human Resources.  Along with her BFA, Megan holds SPHR and SHRM-SCP certifications and a Lean Sigma Green Belt.  She is continually pondering her return to school to pursue an MBA.

Idalia Fulfer is an HR management professional with over 20 years of experience. During which, her diverse career includes management in the Oil/Gas Industry, Construction, Manufacturing, and Distribution/Logistics. Idalia’s educational background includes holding a Bachelor of Science in Business, with a minor in HR Management, and a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management. In addition, Idalia is certified by the Human Resources Certification Institute as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and by the Society for Human Resource Management as a certified professional (SHRM-CP).

Senior Lecturer


Erin Welch is a Senior Lecturer at the University of North Texas where she teaches undergraduate classes in the HR program.  Organizational Behavior, Talent Acquisition, and Workplace Health and Safety are some of her favorite classes to teach.  Her service activities at the University include serving on multiple committees, advising various student organizations, and assisting with the UNT HR Program Initiative.  She received the UNT Department of Management Teacher of the Year Award 2015-2019.  In January of 2022, she will step in as co-advisor to the UNT SHRM Student Chapter.

Erin’s corporate experience comes from the insurance industry where she handled property claims, reviewed claim files for regulatory compliance, and trained adjusters.  When her employer restructured, she decided to pursue an MBA in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources which turned into a career in academia.  In January 2018, she earned the SHRM-SCP.  

Erin resides in Sanger with her husband, son, and two English Bulldogs.  They enjoy time outdoors, by the pool, and traveling.

I have worked with the Greenville Altrusa International Chapter organization for over 7 years and served my community at the chamber level and my local church.

Susan H. Wood is the Co‐Founder and CEO for IFI Training. Ms. Wood started IFI Training in 1995 with three other partners. Susan believed she could make a difference by giving individuals the skills they need to succeed in work and in life.
