Shirley Krueger is an experienced human resources professional having worked in a variety of industries including temporary staffing, construction, real estate, and non-profit.  Ms. Krueger is currently the HR Manager at Orison Holdings, LLC. 

She joined North Texas SHRM Chapter in 2017 and began serving on the board in 2018 as VP of Professional Development – Annual Conference, then as President-Elect in 2020.  She was presented with the NTSHRM 2019 Pyramid Award in recognition of her outstanding service to the NTSHRM Society.  She is a graduate of Leadership Denton, past president of Denton Youth Basketball, past Cub Scout Leader, and past volunteer with Communities In School.   

Shirley has lived in the north Texas area all her life.  She graduated from Columbia Southern University with a BS of Business Administration in Human Resource Management.  She holds SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, and PHR certifications.

Pamela Barnes

Pam Barnes has served as CFO for HSNT for over 26 years and has played a major role in facilitating the growth and development of the organization. Ms. Barnes graduated from Texas Woman’s University with a BS of Business Administration in Accounting in 1993. Ms. Barnes joined NTSHRM in 2008 when she was responsible for HR functions at HSNT and joined the board the next year as VP of Finance in which capacity she has continued to serve the organization with enthusiasm. Her volunteerism also includes membership in the Denton Noon Kiwanis club, City of Denton Human Services Advisory Committee, Leadership Denton, past board member of the Tejas Storytelling Association and camp volunteer for the Girl Scouts, Cross Timbers Council.

Shay Scarborough

HR Communications Analyst

Shay Scarborough has worked in Human Resources for around ten years and really enjoys employee engagement, compensation, and special projects. Her background includes industries such as aerospace, automotive, and manufacturing. Shay joined the North Texas SHRM Chapter in 2017. She began serving on the board in 2021 and manages the Chapter’s social media networks. She volunteers with her local church, iMentor, and the University of North Texas.

Shay grew up in the central Texas area before relocating to DFW for college. She holds her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies and Master’s Degree in Strategic Communication.  She holds a PMP certification.

Regina Wright is the HR Director/Employee Relations for Denton ISD and has been employed with the District for 26 years. Regina is a member of (NCTASPA)the North Central Texas Association of School Personnel Administrator’s where she has served in the roles of Vice President, President, and currently Secretary. She is also a member of TASPA (Texas Association of Personnel Administrators) and AASPA (American Association of Personnel Administrators, serving on various committees. Regina has been a member of NTSHRM since 2007 and has served in the roles of VP membership, President Elect, President, and now serving as VP of membership. She has a passion for serving and enjoys people.

Jeriana Staton, Director of Human Resources for the City of Sanger. She has been in Human Resources now for 10 years in both private and public sector. Jeriana has held many roles from a Trainer to Director and many in-between. Her passion has always been to help others and be a resource in the workplace as well as the HR community. She has had the honor of serving on the NTSHRM board for two years now alongside serving on the Dallas HR board. She looks forward to hopefully continuing to serve the greater Denton County area as a HR support, with NTSHRM.

Dwayne Clarke has been in Human Resources for over 15 years specializing in employee well-being and employee engagement. He joined North Texas SHRM in 2016 starting as a brand ambassador and being actively involved in the chapter. He has also worked on the 2019 and 2020 conference planning committee. He is the current chair for the 2021 conference. He is SHRM Certified Professional and currently pursuing a master’s degree in Human Resource Development. He wants to continue helping our chapter grow because HR professionals need continued support and development in our ever changing and evolving profession.
North Texas SHRM is a great resource to accomplish that goal. His desire is to be of service to whoever he can, with the gifts he is given.

Christina Cohen

New to Dallas, Christina has spent the last eight years living in Cincinnati, OH. There she worked in the Talent Development space for various organizations; from global companies like GE and Luxottica, to smaller privately owned organizations. Her passion for Talent Development can be tracked back to her college years. As a server and barista, she was always the first to step up as a trainer for new employees. With a background in I/O Psychology,  she strongly believes that solid training, coaching and continuous feedback help people be the most effective they can be in their roles. As a result, the more effective employees are, the more valued and engaged they feel at their core.  Outside of work, she lives with her husband and two fur-babies (cats). The Office quotes and coffee are her love languages.

Leann Hoene

Leann Hoene is Human Resource Director for both Mayday Manufacturing and HiTech Metal Finishing Companies in Denton, TX. She has more than 20 years of experience in human resources, providing strategic HR management, training, development, consultation and direction to executives, managers, and employees for various organizations throughout the United States and Central America.

Prior to her current role, Leann was a Senior HR Conultant with Willis Towers Watson, serving the South region. Leann also served in a senior-level HR consulting/management role with a professional employer organization for six years. She has consulted with large, mid-sized, and small companies across a wide variety of industries including property management, health care, professional services, retail, wholesale, and manufacturing. Leann’s specialties and interests include strategic HR design, human capital management and technology, succession planning and performance management, leaves of absence and ADA, HR best practices and compliance, training and development, and state specific employment law. Prior to becoming a consultant, Leann worked in internal HR in various industries including automotive, construction and security.

Leann has spoken on Strategic HR, Total Rewards, Performance Management, Generations in the Workplace, Succession Planning as well as other human resources topics.

Leann earned a bachelor’s degree in Linguistics with an emphasis in Spanish from the University of California, Los Angeles. She currently holds her Senior Professional in Human Resources, California and Global HR certifications, and a Six Sigma Green Belt

Jessica McAden

Jessica McAden has been working in the Human Resource field for 8+ years including, the aerospace and healthcare industries. She received her Bachelors and Masters with a focus in Human Resources from Tarleton State University. She is currently employed as the HR Director of a critical access hospital here in North Texas. Her passion besides supporting her hospital team is her little family with a loving husband and two blessings. They also have fur baby, Rooster, who is an Australian Shepard. Her other passions include traveling, antiques, and history. Her husband would say she has a shoe problem, but that’s a story for another time.

She grew up the oldest of 4 in a small town, population less than 1,000, in Central Texas. She has always had a driven personality to do and learn more. During her college career, she was involved with many organizations including President of SHRM – Tarleton Campus, Texan Tour, Delta Zeta Sorority, and other Student Organizations. Now days, you can catch her volunteering in her children’s events and organizations. She also serves as a committee member for the Decatur’s Junior Woman's Club and on the Board as VP of Marketing with North Texas SHRM.

Steve Larsen

Steve was raised in Montana, and after college joined the Air Force. After several years in the Air Force, and getting married, he moved to Texas and got a job in Human Resources. He has three children and six grandkids.

He retired after over 30 years in Human Resources. During his tenure in Human Resources, he held Generalist and Specialist roles that cover all of the aspects of Human Resources. A couple of the more interesting assignments include owning a temporary agency and serving as chief management spokesperson dealing with a Labor Union that had gone on strike.

Currently, he works part-time as an Instructor at North Central Texas College.

Carla Flowers holds a BAAS degree from the University of North Texas, and a MBA from Dallas Baptist University. She joined the North Texas SHRM chapter in 2013 and began serving on the North Texas SHRM board in 2015 as Co-VP of Finance, assisting with registration for monthly meetings, annual conferences, and legal symposiums. She served as President-Elect in 2018 and as President, 2019-2020. Ms. Flowers is employed by the Denco Area 9-1-1 District as the Director of Administration and holds PHR and SHRM-CP certifications.
