Presented by: Louis Harbour
11:30am - 12:00pm: Food Service
12:00pm: Speaker Presentation
As employers are ramping up their adoption of HSA-eligible Health Plans to save money on benefits spending, and their employees are juggling competing financial demands, this convergence between health and wealth is giving rise to a new demand for HSAs – the use of HSAs as retirement accounts. This new utilization of HSAs presents an historic opportunity for employees, employers, and the benefits providers that service them. Louis will discuss how Employers and Employees can use HSAs as retirement accounts
Louis is a Retirement Benefits Adviser and is passionate about partnering with Group Health Benefits Brokers, businesses, and their employees to help them accomplish their goals. He does this through the innovative use of workplace retirement benefits, such as 401(k), HSAs, and Pension Plans. He is an innovator in the usage of HSAs as retirement plans and is one of the first to obtain the new Certified Health Savings Adviser (CHSA®) professional designation. He regularly speaks at various SHRM chapters, and National Association of Benefits & Insurance Professionals (NABIP) chapters for Benefits Brokers, teaching them of the underutilized retirement features of HSAs. He has over two decades of industry experience, and holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professional designation, the FINRA Series 65, 63 securities licenses, TX Life & Health, and Property & Casualty insurance licenses.
