Discover the Power of Allyship
Presented by Eddie Turner
Webinar: Thursday, April 22nd 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
In the wake of police incidents with African Americans and the most recent cases of hate crimes against Asian Americans, organizations large and small have sought to address the problematic issue of race, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace more than ever before. To that end, this one-hour session presentation begins with a 30-minute presentation about some employees' experience with social injustice in the workplace. This session is a straightforward talk that reveals the first-person perspective of what occurs and what to do to help employees who have been historically disenfranchised in the workplace. A 30-minute open, candid conversation with no holds barred follows this presentation. Ask any question. Make any comment.
Attendees will be able to:
- Define Allyship and explain the power of using it in their environment.
- Recognize challenges employees who don't look like them face and their impact on them and, by extension, everyone around them.
- Explain the financial advantages of being an ally.
