You’re handed a file. In it is an internal EEO complaint, and it is your job to investigate it. You understand how much is riding on the outcome of your investigation, so what do you do? In this session, you will hear the basics of how to investigate an internal complaint of discrimination. You will learn about policies and practices, investigative plans and organization, hiring and discharge issues, and of course, how to interview witnesses. It is good start for those who are new to investigations and a nice refresher for those who have been doing them for a while.
