Job Description

The P&C Specialist performs a variety of day-to-day Human Resources activities in support of a manufacturing operation, maintains HR data, ensuring their integrity, processing, and reporting as needed. The incumbent works independently under the general direction of the P&C Manager. Provides services to employees, and handles problems and non-routine situations by determining the approach or action to take and interprets guidelines, procedures, policies, and practices.

Job Duties and/or Responsibilities

Responsible for timely and correct submission of Payroll data (ADP) weekly.

Work with Supervisors/Managers during the week to maintain accurate Time and Attendance data.

Coordinate all hourly recruiting activities, to include:

Maintaining current log of open positions

Working with internal Talent Acquisition team to schedule interviews

Interviewing hourly candidates as needed

Schedule pre- and on-boarding of new hires and conduct new hire orientation.

Work with employees to answer questions regarding benefits, policies, compensation, and any other general services.

Lead Plant diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Maintain integrity of employee records, files and general data.

Minimum Qualifications

3+ years’ experience working in HR with demonstrated success in recruiting and onboarding employees.

Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.

Bilingual preferred.

Strong interpersonal skills with a service-oriented nature; desire to build relationships with others.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills including experience leading teams and public speaking or training.

Skilled at using MS Office.

Ability to organize work and set priorities to accomplish individual and team goals; may include occasional, non-traditional hours/shifts.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
