Job Description

The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of administering pay, benefits, leave and enforcing company policies and practices.
Job Duties and/or Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Manage the day-to-day inquiries and system maintenance of payroll
  • Prepare, review and submit semi-monthly processing of payroll
  • Maintain database including new hires, terminations and other changes
  • Oversee and maintain employee benefits files and ensures benefit changes are entered appropriately into payroll and carrier systems
  • Verify and process monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies
  • Provide support for payroll and benefits related audit inquiries
  • Act as liaison between HR, vendors, brokers and Team members to provide support as it relates to benefit policies, procedures and claim disputes
  • Maintain group benefits database in carrier portals
  • Conduct benefits orientations and explain benefits enrollment processes to new Team members
  • Assist in preparation and execution of annual open enrollment
  • Oversee Workers Compensation claims
  • Assists in the hiring, onboarding process, and new employee orientation.
  • Conducts background checks, drug screenings and employee eligibility verifications as needed.
  • Maintains records retention and compliance guidelines
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and
  • practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Additional Duties:
  • Assists in employee recognition programs, team development, training and other events.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • 5 years of human resource experience

  • Any combination of related education, experience, certifications, and licenses that will result in candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job.
