Who we are looking for:

Are you a go to resource for FFCRA, FMLA and benefit communication? Our HRG benefits administrator position will direct and plan the day-to-day operations of our corporate reporting, benefit administration, leave of absence compliance as well as some payroll functions. This position will need to demonstrate effective behavior in customer service by taking difficult situations and helping find the proper solutions. This is a full time position located in our Denton office supporting both Mayday Manufacturing and Hi-Tech Metal Finishing, which are located in the same building.

  • Conversational Spanish speaking ability a plus.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP and CEBS professional designations preferred.

Job Summary:

Are you a go to resource for FFCRA, FMLA and benefit communication? Our HRG benefits administrator position will direct and plan the day-to-day operations of our corporate reporting, benefit administration, leave of absence compliance as well as some payroll functions. This position will need to demonstrate effective behavior in customer service by taking difficult situations and helping find the proper solutions. This is a full time position located in our Denton office supporting both Mayday Manufacturing and Hi-Tech Metal Finishing, which are located in the same building.  

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes. 
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees.
  • Coordinate daily benefits processing. Handle enrollments, COBRA through a vendor, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, and other benefit related employee needs.
  • Oversee maintenance of employee benefits files, maintain group benefits database and update employee payroll records.
  • Gather employee data and oversee the processing of monthly billings and the preparation of vouchers for payment of administrative fees for all group plans. 
  • Allocate group health and dental claims monthly and review quarterly.
  • Perform plan audits. Prepare, collect and organize data for EEO and AAP. Review data in conjunction with HR Director.
  • Review and prepare compensation analysis, benchmarking jobs and updating pay groups and job families.
  • Survey industry trends. Complete benefits surveys and review information obtained from the results. Analyze complex benefits information. Forecast trends and assist with future benefits offerings. Develop specific recommendations for review by management.
  • Provide customer service support to internal and external customers. Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of the company's benefits package.
  • Communicate benefits plans to employees through all communication methods.  Design and distribute materials for benefits orientations, open enrollment and summary plan descriptions. Provide training and support to group benefits associates, home office associates and the field staff.
  • Various other HR duties as needed.  Such as assistance with performance management, succession planning and employee initiatives.
  • Submit required reporting to our corporate office as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including PowerPoint and advanced Excel; experience with HRIS and benefits databases.
  • Project management experience.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates.
  • Effective planning and priority setting. Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of plan designs.
  • Knowledge of benefits contract language.
  • Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefits programs, including the ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FFCRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, workers' compensation, Medicare, OBRA, and Social Security and DOL requirements.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field required or equivalent experience.
  • Three to five years of related benefits or employee benefits administration experience.  
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP and CEBS professional designations preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.

This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Non-U.S. persons selected must meet eligibility requirements for access to export-restricted information as defined under the ITAR/EAR.
